This browser-based utility adds custom padding to the sides of a PNG. The program allows you to customize the width and color of the padding, and also select which sides to add padding to. The padding width can be specified in the options using pixel values, such as 10, 50, or 100 pixels. Each padding value increases the overall width and height of the image by twice the padding size in pixels. For example, if your image is 100 by 100 pixels, and you add 20-pixel padding, then its size will become 140 by 140 pixels. The fill color can be specified in the options by the color name or its hex code, RGB code, or RGBA code. Alternatively, the color can be selected from the color picker in the attached color spectrum palette. The program also allows you to select which of the four PNG sides to add padding to – top, bottom, left, or right. Png-abulous!

In this example, we were tasked to update a PNG of a ceramic vase to fit the requirements of an online home decor store. The store mandates that all product images adhere to a square format, where the width and height are equal. To make this change, we transform a vertically oriented PNG into a square PNG by adding transparent padding to the left and right sides of the PNG.
