What Is a Stamp Cropper?

This tool crops a part of a stamp or seal in PNG format. If you've scanned a rubber stamp, the tool lets you remove unnecessary parts captured during scanning, such as paper edges or unwanted parts of a background. If your scan contains multiple stamps or seals, you can select the one you're interested in and extract it. Also, if your stamp includes unnecessary decorative elements such as double-borders, you can remove them from the stamp. In the tool options, you can choose either a rectangular or an oval cropping method, which is suited for most stamp shapes and sizes. In the input editor, you can conveniently adjust the size of the cropping shape by dragging it via corners. For more precise adjustments, you can modify this shape through the tool options, which include the exact pixel offsets for the left position, top position, width, and height. If your stamp image is too large, you can crop it in multiple steps. First, you can roughly set the cropping shape, activate the redo cropping option, and then, with the click of a button, move the rough output stamp image back to the input editor, allowing for further re-cropping. Crop a Paris Travel Stamp

In this example, we scanned a souvenir postcard featuring multiple stamps related to our stay in France, Paris. Out of all stamps, the one featuring the Eiffel Tower stands out, and we want to create a rubber stamp from it. To do it, we place the square crop area over it by setting the left position to 12px, the top position to 14px, and the width and height to 490px. In the output, we get the exact stamp we wanted, which we can now send to a stamp shop to convert to a rubber version. (Source: Freepik.)

Extract the Barcelona Post Office Seal

In this example, we're working with a digital seal in PNG format from the Barcelona Post Office. There was an error when it was made and it contains excess transparent space around it. By adjusting the cropping area in the input edito, we quickly and easily remove all unwanted padding on the left, bottom, and right sides of the seal. The cropping area dimensions are set to "418" for the left position, "0" for the top position, and 500×500 pixels for the size. Cut Decorative Elements from a Stamp

In this example, we get rid of the outer decorative elements of a round "INVOICE PAID" digital stamp. We cut the two outer borders from the stamp by enabling the circular cropping mode. By carefully placing the crop-circle over the round stamp, we isolate the two outer borders and obtain a stamp that now uses a line of stars as a border. (Source: Vecteezy.com.)
