This browser-based utility removes strokes from PNG images. It identifies all objects and elements within the PNG that are positioned on a transparent background and uniformly removes the stroke around them from all sides. The stroke can have any color and thickness. To remove a specific number of pixels around objects, you can set the width of the removed stroke. For example, if you set the value to 10px, the program will erase 10 pixels of the stroke from each side of the object on the transparent background. Subsequently, you can smooth the remaining pixels on the edges of the objects by specifying their width. For example, if you set the value to 10px, the program will smoothly adjust the transparency of pixels within a 10-pixel radius from α = 255 to α = 0. If, however, there are still strokes remaining in some deep areas and narrow gaps, you can activate the deep stroke removal option. This option, based on the color of the removed stroke, identifies and removes deep pixels in the crevices. For color matching, you can choose between two algorithms in the options and specify the stroke removal threshold and removal depth parameters. The stroke removal threshold ranges from 0% to 100% and indicates the percentage of how similar the color of pixels in deep gaps is to the color of the already removed stroke. The removal depth parameter takes values of 1 and higher, indicating how deeply to search for and remove stroke pixels in the crevices. Finally, the last tool option is called "Delete External Stroke Only", allowing you to remove the stroke only from the outer side of objects and elements, leaving closed transparent areas inside objects unchanged. This example removes a bright green, messy stroke around a chocolate drink. It first completely erases pixels within a radius of 12px from all sides. Then, it performs deep stroke cleanup, erasing green pixels with 20% similarity, in gaps of 50px deep using the closest color tone algorithm. Finally, it smooths the pixels around the edges in a range of 2px to give the resulting drink glass a nice look. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we remove the stroke from a portrait of a beautiful girl with pigtails. Since the yellow stroke surrounds the portrait only on the outer side, leaving the area between the face and the pigtails unstroked, we enable the external stroke removal option. We remove 16 pixels of rich yellow stroke, clean 10 pixels deep into crevices (using the "Closest RGB Color" method with a threshold of 35%), and smooth a 1-pixel line at the edges. (Source: Pexels.)
