This browser-based utility swaps one selected color in a PNG with another. The tool is very simple to use: you just need to choose the two colors that you want to be swapped in the tool options. To make it easier to find the shades to swap, you can simply click on the source shade in the input editor (once you load your PNG image). The tool will then automatically find the color you clicked on and fill in the "Source Color" option. You can then edit the "Target Color" option to set the color to swap the source color with. Besides the selected color, you may also need to swap similar neighboring color shades (such as lighter and darker variations of the blue color or any other color). To do this, you can set the color-matching sensitivity value, which is defined as a percentage from 0% to 100%. For example, at 10%, the program will swap only very similar shades with the target color, while at 50%, it will swap more differing shades. In the options, you can also activate the smooth color mixer and specify the color mixing depth. This option creates a smooth transition of swapped colors by mixing the old color with the new color at the boundaries where the new color areas and non-modified objects touch. The option to preserve pixel brightness can be especially useful. When used, each pixel that changes its color retains its original level of brightness. Thus, when swapping colors with shadows, objects retain their volume, depth, and detail. Before downloading the PNG, we recommend using the preview mode to view changes. It displays a black-and-white mask showing the swapped colors. Black shows areas where colors have been swapped, and white shows areas that have not changed. Png-abulous!

In this example, we swap the green background behind a French bulldog with a light blue one. To find the color code of the green PNG background, we click on it in the input editor, and the program automatically fills it in the source color option field. As the background has color variations, we also swap similar shades with a color sensitivity value of 24%. To ensure the bulldog blends into the new background, we add anti-alias to the pixels around the dog and mix the new background color with the dog's boundary within a radius of 2 pixels. This example swaps the frame color of a classic alarm clock from yellow to bright orange. The tool sets the yellow color as the source color using the hex code #DAB62E, including 20% of similar shades, and swaps it to the orange color #FF6D00. Since the alarm clock has a convex shape that creates volume and shadows, the program activates the "Maintain Color Brightness" option to preserve light reflections and brightness variations in the new color. In this example, we upload a transparent PNG sticker with two blue dumbbells, each weighing 2 kg (4.4 lbs), and exchange their color with the hot pink color. To find the original color of dumbbells, we use the color eyedropper tool, and to find the new color, we simply enter the color name "hotpink" in the options. To cover a larger range of blue shades, we increase the color-matching threshold to 60%. We also maintain color brightness to ensure the dumbbells retain reflections and shadows in the new color.
