This browser-based program calculates the file size of the given PNG image. The tool prints the exact size of the PNG file in bytes, kilobytes, or megabytes, which lets you understand how well the PNG has been compressed and if it's usable on the web (usually large PNGs aren't very usable on the web as they load slowly, especially on mobile networks). You can also quickly find out the width and height of the PNG in pixels and the total number of pixels in the PNG. Additionally, the program calculates the number of pixels per byte, which indicates the pixel density of the compressed PNG – higher pixel density signifies better compression. In this example, we upload an average-sized PNG image of a purple moth on a green leaf. The tool instantly displays an accurate file size, which is 80,657 bytes. Additionally, it prints the same size in kilobytes – 78.77kb. This is an optimal size for a well-compressed PNG image with dimensions of 640 pixels by 481 pixels. In this example, we open a heavy PNG picture with a size of half a megabyte. The exact size is 512,453 bytes, which equals 500.44 kilobytes. Given that the PNG has dimensions of 649-by-811 pixels, this file size is too large for practical use and it can be optimized. (Source: Pexels.)

The width and height of the PNG image are 40 pixels each, and the file size is only 981 bytes, which is less than 1 kilobyte.
