What Is a PNG to HSL Color Converter?

This browser-based utility converts PNG images into their Hue, Saturation, and Lightness (HSL) components. The HSL color model is a three-dimensional representation of colors. Its first component is Hue, indicating the type of color or its position in the spectrum of visible light. Hue is represented as an angle around a circular color wheel, where 0° and 360° correspond to red, 120° to green, 240° to blue, and so on. When the program visualizes the hue channel, it displays the overall colors of PNG elements. If you want to change the hue of your PNG, you can use the Change PNG Hue tool. The second HSL channel is Saturation, determining the intensity of color and expressed as a percentage. 0% corresponds to grayscale (completely desaturated), while 100% (sometimes 200%) represents fully saturated colors. You can view the current saturation level in this program and adjust saturation using the Change PNG Contrast tool. The third component of HSL is Lightness, defining the brightness or darkness of a color and measured in percentages from 0% (black) to 100% (sometimes 200%) (white). This program shows the true lightness level of the PNG, and if desired, you can modify it using the Change PNG Brightness tool. You can also convert each extracted HSL channel into a monochrome version. This function simplifies the PNG to a grayscale representation and allows for a better exploration of its color composition.
