This browser-based utility adds a shadow to PNG images. The shadow creates the illusion of depth and makes the image more expressive. If your PNG has a transparent background with an object in the center, the shadow will be applied to that object. If the PNG has an opaque background, the shadow will be added around the entire image, expanding its dimensions and creating a floating effect. The tool offers several settings for precise shadow customization. You can control the shadow’s position using the "Offset X" and "Offset Y" parameters to move the shadow horizontally and vertically. To shift the shadow to the right, use a positive X offset; to shift it to the left, use a negative X offset. Similarly, to move the shadow downward, use a positive Y offset; to move it upward, use a negative Y offset. The "Shadow Blur" option allows you to adjust the shadow’s blur level, and the "Shadow Color" option lets you set the shadow’s color (including making it semi-transparent). In this example, we add a realistic shadow to a yellow toy truck PNG image. The shadow is offset 20 pixels horizontally and 40 pixels vertically, which is characteristic of shadows cast by objects under top lighting. In this example, we generate an unusual purple shadow that we add to the letters of a PNG image with the word "Love". We slightly offset the shadow to the left (by 6 pixels) and down (by 8 pixels). We blur the "purple" shadow with a radius of 8 pixels and add a 40-pixel padding around the PNG image. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we load a completely opaque PNG image as input and add a shadow to it. Since the pixels inside the image are opaque, the shadow appears around the PNG, adding a 3D floating effect.
