World's simplest online Portable Network Graphics (PNG) alpha channel replacer. Just import your PNG image in the editor on the left and you'll instantly get a PNG with its alpha channel replaced with colorful opaque pixels on the right. After replacing the alpha channel, all transparent pixels in your PNG will turn non-transparent. Free, quick, and very powerful. Created with love by team Browserling.

This browser-based tool allows you to replace the alpha channel and the transparent pixels in PNG images with new opaque pixels. Just to remind you, the alpha channel is the component of a PNG image that determines the transparency level of each pixel. Alpha channel of zero means complete transparency – such pixels are fully transparent and show what is underneath the image. With this tool, you can replace all transparent areas of the PNG with a color of your choice. This color can be a single solid color or a color gradient. The gradient can be linear (where colors smoothly transition along a straight line) or radial (where colors spread out in circles from the chosen point). You can specify the color for replacing the alpha channel using a color name, hex code, or RGB code. Additionally, you can select a color from the palette that's located in the tool options to obtain the exact RGB color code visually. For the linear gradient, you can choose the direction of the color flow, which can be one of four – north (top to bottom), east (left to right), south (bottom to top), or west (right to left). For the radial gradient, you can set the starting point of the color spread and the depth of the gradient effect (in pixels). Both gradients can be created using two to four colors, enabling you to create simple or complex color transitions. Pro tip: You can use the RGBA color code to replace the alpha channel with a semi-transparent color. Png-abulous!

In this example, we replace the alpha channel in a scanned PNG image of Beethoven's signature with a solid color. We use white as the replacement color, turning all see-through transparent pixels into opaque background pixels. (Source: Wikipedia.)
In this example, we demonstrate how to replace the alpha channel in a PNG sticker with a vibrant linear gradient. We load a transparent PNG of ice cream cones with red berries in the input and add a linear gradient background that transitions from soft purple (#b82cc6) to bright red (#fc4a1a) to warm orange (#f7b733), creating a yummy burst of color. This example replaces the alpha channel in a PNG of a tree blossom with a radial gradient. The utility applies soft blue colors to create a highly realistic light-blue sky. The radial gradient starts in the bottom-left corner with the cornflower-blue color and gradually transitions to the alice-blue color over a depth of 1200 pixels. (Source: Pexels.)
