This tool removes the background from stamps and seals. Such stamps without a background are called digital stamps as they are see-through and they can be placed over any document, making them appear as they were originally printed on the document. To remove the background, the program first separates the stamp from the background, then it converts all background pixels into transparent pixels, and leaves only the visible stamp pixels. You can easily remove a background of any color by selecting it from the uploaded stamp image. Simply click on the background in the stamp image and the tool will detect the color and insert its color code in the options. Alternatively, you can manually specify the exact color of the background to be removed using its name, hex code, RGB code, or by picking it via the color palette. If the background of your stamp contains multiple shades or isn't a single solid color, you can adjust the color matching range. This option controls how many similar colors need to be to be removed from the background. At 0%, the tool precisely removes only the selected color, but as you increase the percentage, it broadens the range to include more similar shades. Additionally, to achieve a smooth transition between the edges of your stamp and the transparent background, you can enable an option to softly fade the edges into transparency. By defining the radius for edge fading, you can create a soft and seamless transition and ensure no pixels from the old background remain. Another useful feature allows you to remove the background around the stamp without affecting the area inside it. This is especially helpful to keep the design elements inside the stamp intact while cleaning up the surrounding background. Finally, to visualize the effect of your changes, you can generate a preview mask of the removed background. In this example, we use our tool to delete the background from a red stamp that says "postponed" in capital letters. After we load the stamp in PNG format, we select its background color by simply clicking on it in the input image. The tool identifies the color as rgba(232, 228, 227, 255) and saves in the option field. Since the background contains various shades of this color and noisy pixels, we set the color-matching range to 40%. In this example, we isolate the Florida Senate seal from the surrounding white background. We enter the "white" color for removal in the options and set the color-matching threshold to 40%. To ensure only the white background around the seal is removed but the white color inside the seal is preserved, we activate the "Remove Outer Background" option. In this example, we remove the white background from a travel stamp that certifies your have visited London. To do it, we identify the background color by clicking on the uploaded stamp and set the color removal sensitivity to 30%.
