This browser-based tool quickly and accurately calculates the dimensions of the given PNG file. The program prints the dimensions of the PNG in the standard format (for example, "800×600 pixels"), and also prints just the width (800 pixels) and just the height (600 pixels) on separate lines for easier copying to the clipboard. Based on the dimensions, it also determines whether the PNG has a vertical/portrait orientation, horizontal/landscape orientation, or a square (width equals height). The program also confirms that the loaded image has the PNG file format (it will print "png"). This feature is useful if you need to determine the image type (as images can also be JPG, Bitmap, Webp, and other formats). Then, the program also calculates the total number of pixels in it (for example, 512,000 pixels), finds the aspect ratio between the width and height (for example, 4:3), and displays the file size in bytes or kilobytes (for example, 86,617 bytes and 84.59kb). This tool is exceptionally useful for web developers and designers as it provides crucial information about PNG files, which are commonly used in web design. Knowing the exact dimensions, orientation, and aspect ratio of images enables designers to ensure their graphics fit perfectly in various web layouts, enhancing the visual appeal and user experience. The program can also be used for quality control to make sure that after making changes to a PNG (such as resizing or adding transparency), the PNG maintains its original proportions and doesn't grow in size. The ability to quickly assess these attributes streamlines the quality assurance process, enabling efficient detection and correction of potential issues before publication or deployment. Png-abulous!

In this example, we use our program to quickly calculate the dimensions of a PNG. After uploading a picture of pistachio-chocolate cookies, the program instantly displays its dimensions of 640×800 pixels to the screen. We also learn that the PNG is vertically oriented and has an aspect ratio of 4:5 (width-to-height). We also find that it contains 512,000 pixels and weighs 262,598 bytes or 256.44kb. This example seems empty at first glance but it actually does contain a PNG image that is completely transparent. Since transparent PNGs are impossible to see, determining their dimensions becomes even more difficult. However, our program makes it super easy. It counts the transparent pixels, finds the dimensions of the PNG, and prints them in the output area. In this case, it is a square PNG of 400×400 pixels in size. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we load a PNG image of a cat wrapped in a blanket to find its dimensions. The PNG is landscape-oriented and has a width of 660 pixels and a height of 440 pixels. We also discover that this PNG has a common aspect ratio of 3:2 and an optimized size of 118.39kb. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we upload a tiny PNG that is no bigger than a small light-blue dot. The utility precisely determines the dimensions of this PNG, revealing its ultra-compact structure of just 1 by 1 pixel in width and height – the smallest possible size of any image. Additionally, the PNG's file size is also miniscule at a mere 83 bytes. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we verify that our PNG image of pumpkins is square. To achieve this, we input the PNG and obtain its precise dimensions. Both the width and height are 580 pixels, indicating the PNG's square shape. Furthermore, we learn that this PNG encompasses 336,400 pixels, weighing in at 176,458 bytes (172.32kb). (Source: Pexels.)
