This browser-based utility allows you to pick a color from a PNG image. You can upload any PNG image to the input and use the eyedropper tool to extract a single color from the image. When you click and hold the mouse on the input PNG, a magnifying glass will appear that you can then use to precisely select a specific pixel. The central pixel in the magnifying glass is outlined with a red line and this is the color that is picked and printed to the output field. If you increase the pixel radius in the options, the program will sample the average value of all pixel colors in the selected area. If the area with the given radius is greater than the area of the magnifying glass, then it will be highlighted on the PNG itself with a green line. All pixels within the green area are then mixed into one color and sent to the output. The extracted color can be downloaded as a PNG format file using the "Save as" and "Download" buttons. You can also view and copy the name of the extracted color. We offer 10 different color formats – closest color name (for example, "Yellow, Pink"), HEX code #RRGGBB, RGB (Red, Green, Blue), RGBA (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha), HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness), HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value), HSI (Hue, Saturation, Intensity), LAB (Lightness, A, B), LCH (Lightness, Chroma, Hue), and HCL (Hue, Chroma, Luminance). Also, you can print any of these color formats directly onto the output image using the "Print color name" option. Png-abulous!

In this example, we use the eyedrop tool to select one color from a close-up PNG photo of a sliced papaya. We click on the photo in the input with the mouse and get the "Chocolate" color, which is also printed in 10 other color formats such as #cd531a in hex. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we increase the picker radius to 4 pixels. This means that the program finds the average color from an area of 7×7 pixels (it's calculated as 2×r-1 = 2×4-1 = 7). We click on the left spike of a seashell, extract the "SlateGray" color, and print it on the output PNG. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we load a PNG photo of grapefruit with a transparent background and find a semi-transparent color tone in it. We set the color sampler radius to 20 pixels and click on the grapefruit skin. As the radius is large, it includes both opaque citrus pixels and transparent background pixels. As a result, the sampled color is translucent and it has the RGBA code rgba(195, 156, 116, 0.78). (Source: Pexels.)
