This tool recolors stamps and seals in PNG format. Once you upload a stamp into the input editor, you can select any color on the stamp and replace it with a desired new color. For example, you can change a red stamp to a green stamp or a black stamp to a blue stamp. This tool is especially useful for adapting the stamp color to your branding, correcting color balance, or making it visually more appealing for use in documents. The current color of the stamp that you want to change can be specified in the "Original Stamp Color" option. Here you can enter the color by its name or hex code, select it from from a color palette, or auto-fill it by clicking on a color on your stamp in the input editor. After selecting the original color, you can set the new shade using the "New Stamp Color" option. Similar to the original color, you can enter the new color by its name or hex code or select it from a color palette choose. If the stamp contains different shades or tints of the color, you can adjust the color detection accuracy using the "Detecting Similar Colors" option. By adjusting the precision level, you can control how many similar shades will be changed to the new color. To make the replaced color blend with any background, use the "Blend Stamp Borders" function. It smoothly mixes the new color with surrounding shades within the specified radius at the edges of the stamp. To visualize color changes, enable the "Highlight Modified Areas" option, which will display an overlay with the areas with changed color in black, while the remaining, non-changed areas will appear in white. In this example, we change the color of a red rubber stamp that says "Paid" to a green stamp. We identify the precise red shade of the original stamp by clicking on the red pixels in the input window, which provides the color code "rgba(226, 31, 39, 255)" and puts it in the options. We set the color precision to 50% to match all shades of red that are used in the original stamp and select a shade of green from the color palette for the new stamp. In this example, we upload a postal service seal with two colors (gray and red) and replace only the red color in it with a dark blue shade. To do it, we use the color picker to select a close matching red color and set the "Detect Similar Colors" option to 40% to make sure all variations of the red are matched. We're extra careful here as increasing this parameter to 65% would result in replacing both the red and gray colors. Additionally, we refine the edges in the changed areas with a radius of 1 pixel to make sure the new seal is usable on any background. (Source: Freepik.)
In this example, we use the tool to restore and visually enhance an old stamp used by a public library in the early 20th century. By replacing the faint blue ink (color code "rgba(39, 117, 166, 255)") with a bold black color, we revive the stamp's appearance.
