What Is an Icon Border Remover?

This browser-based tool removes unnecessary borders around icons in PNG format, leaving only the icon itself. Borders can vary in shape and thickness, and this program provides several groups of options to precisely control the border removal process. You can specify the width of the strip to be removed from each side of the PNG. For example, if your icon has a black border that is 2 pixels wide, you can set the value to "2" for all four edges to completely eliminate this border. You can also remove different amounts of pixels from each side. Additionally, you can manually adjust the removing area in the preview. To do this, simply move the cropping line away from each edge to the desired distance. By default, the program uses a rectangular cropping shape, but if your icon has rounded corners or is enclosed in a circle, you can opt for the circular cropping shape. After the initial crop, if further precision is needed, you can use the border re-deleting option. This function moves the output result back to the input, allowing you to remove any remaining unwanted border elements.
