What Is a PNG Skewer?

This browser-based utility allows you to apply a horizontal or vertical slant to PNG (Portable Network Graphics) pictures. The program changes the orientation of a PNG by keeping one of its sides fixed and slanting and sliding all other sides in a two-dimensional plane by the given angle. You can tilt a PNG to the left, to the right, up or down. By selecting the horizontal skew mode in the options, you can tilt the PNG to the left or right side. If the angle is from 0° to 90°, the PNG is tilted to the right. If the angle is from 0° to -90°, the PNG is tilted to the left. In vertical skew mode, the image is tilted upward or downward. If the angles is from 0° to 90°, the PNG is tilted up. If the angle is from 0° to -90°, the PNG is tilted down. If you need to apply both horizontal skew and vertical skew at the same time, then you can first run the horizontal skew operation on the PNG, then download it from the output, then upload it to the input again, and now apply the vertical skew effect. This way, the PNG will look like it's rotated in the plane. You can also fill the new empty space that's formed around the image with any color. By default, the color is transparent, but you can change it via the color palette. At the moment, you can't skew the image interactively but very soon we'll add a slider around its bounding box so that you could skew it by dragging a handle with your mouse. Png-abulous!

Slant a PNG Horizontally
